Acoustic soloist Midge McCleary will be gracing the Theatre Royal Hotel with a fanastic percussive fingerstyle fusioin of folk, blues and roots, funk and more!

Although having played and performed in many different lineups he has recently been embarking on solo acoustic missions, no backing band, no gimmicks or fancy effects, just his acoustic guitar, vocal chords & Bigfoot Stomp box.

“I like the stripped down sound, so as a solo performer I get to go with what ever I’m feeling, which gives a great freedom to the music and I just try to keep it real.”

He has self produced 3 albums and and is currently working on his 4th studio album.

The fun begins at 7.30pm on Saturday 12 July, so don’t miss it!

Helicopter flights will be available from the Theatre Royal car park to the racecourse ($80 per person minumum  4 people) and scienic flights will be running throughout the day and early evening (ten minute flights for $80 per person and 15 minute flights for $120 per person, minimum 4 people).

Courtesy Shuttle

A curtesy shuttle service for house guests and customers will be running from the racecourse back to the Theatre Royal Hotel on Saturday from after the nugget race until 6:30pm.

Originally from Sydney and residing in Queenstown, James Stephenson has been performing professionally throughout Australia and New Zealand for ten years. After artist residencies with crown casino Melbourne and Club med Lindeman Island James took to the Theatre Stage, recently starring in productions of Grease, Chicago, All Shook up and La Cage Aux Folles, amongst others. With vocalist, pianist, actor, teacher, writer and even Elvis impersonator on his resume, James delights audiences with an evenings entertainment spanning several decades and genres, with more than a few surprises along the way.
